#SweetEscape: Stacey and JSbu head to the berg for a 5 Star experience!

It
is the #SweetEscape with Stacey and JSbu with Tourism Kwa-Zulu Natal
coming to you LIVE from the stunning Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse in Drakensberg. There was so much exploring and 5 star experiences in store for the team.
As has become a prescient the road trip's sound track had to be by the one and only Beyoncé much to JSbu's agony. Stacey Norman is a loyal member of the Beyhive and to be fair to her she did not put in her own playlist the team just happened to be listening to KZN's Number 1 HIT Music Station, East Coast Radio.
Soon after the team arrived at the luxurious Cleopatra Mountain Farm House, they settled into their incredible rooms. First, to give us a tour in signature over the top Stacey Norman mode, was Stacey herself:
Stacey's room is called ' the blue and white plate room' every room at the Cleopatra Mountain Farm House has a name. Stacey's spacious room has its own fireplace, a window seat for her to perhaps read a book in between the exploring missions she will be up to. A stunning chandelier, a Victorian bath tub. The room is completed by a dressing room/ walk in closet with a make- up room and another bathroom with a shower.
No word yet on JSbu giving us a tour of his room after he watched the above video of Stacey's ella Top Billing show case! Initially JSbu was meant to begin the day with a helicopter flip over the Berg by Westline Aviation to the Trout Dams in Highmoor Reserve. Due to bad weather though the helicopter ride was postponed to tomorrow, this did not dampen JSbu's mood though:
One of two highlights of the day has to be the team getting the opportunity of meeting and talking to the owners of Cleopatra Mountain Farm House, Richard and Mouse Poynton. The two trailblazers were one of the originators of the Country House movement in the 1980's after they founded Granny Mouse Country House in the midlands. The couple who today celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary then travelled the world absorbing the 'foodie' world.
Richard and Mouse returned to South Africa enthused and decided to use the family farm to start what they think would be their dream hotel, which is a intimate gourmet getaway. Richard prepared an exqusite 7 course meal for the East Coast Radio team, good luck not having your mouth water from the pictures of these scrumptious meals:
To think that this was just day one of the #SweetEscape with Stacey and JSbu brought to you by Tourism KwaZulu-Natal! New adventures await the team tomorrow including an early morning hike.
Thank you so much to the Tourism KwaZulu-Natal for making this experience happen, KZN does indeed have it all, we believe it! To book accommodation at the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal Drakensberg, to a warm welcome with roaring log firs, gourmet food and farmhouse luxury click>> here.
