Stacey's heart burns at the news of Regé-Jean Page’s departure from “Bridgerton”
If you may have missed the breaking news over Netflix's most popular series of 2020, then this is your spoiler alert! The Duke will not be returning for the much anticipated second season.
Fans worldwide have been in awaiting patiently the second season of the hit Netflix series 'Bridgerton'.
The period drama series, produced by Shonda Rhimes who is also the creator of hit television series, Grey's Anatomy follows the scandal-filed story of Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset as they court each other to please their marriage-minded family members and London high society.
Their romance and the gossip of the town is documented and narrated by a mysterious gossip columinst, Lady Whistledown.

Earlier on this year, we were all teased with what to expect in the upcoming season. Netflix announced the second installment of the show on Instagram with a video.
At the time there was no news of the major news that have sent shockwaves to fans of the hit series that after eight episodes of entertaining fans with his storyline, acting chops and good looks, the Duke's time on the show would be coming to an end.
On Friday, Lady Whistledown made the shocking news on the show's social media accounts: “While all eyes turn to Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s quest to find a Viscountess, we bid adieu to Regé-Jean Page, who so triumphantly played the Duke of Hastings,” the note read.
Regé-Jean Page, shared the following on his Instagram account:
"The ride of a life time. It’s been an absolute pleasure and a privilege to be your Duke. Joining this family - not just on screen, but off screen too".
Stacey Norman, a huge fan of the series and 'The Duke' was beside herself at the news!
She was not the only one however, It seems creator of the series- Shonda Rimes may lose a few viewers. Kim Kardashian-West was one of the first celebrities to take to social media to share in her shock! The reality star exclaimed: " Wait!!! WHAT????"
