Stacey Normans Pre- Birthday Celebrations!

October has been a month of celebrations on East Coast Radio. On the 9th of October, the station celebrated its 24th birthday in style by rewarding KZN listeners with a share of R150,000.

October also happens to be the birthday month of Stacey Norman. Now, we have come to know that Stacey and JSbu never let slip an opportunity to celebrate the small things. This is the same duo who marked their first anniversary of the show with a party, KZN...

At the beginning of the month, Stacey let it be known to her co-host and the rest of KZN that they needed to normalise people celebrating their birthdays all month long. Stacey's actual birthday is on the 17th of October, which falls on a Saturday, but because JSbu wanted to spoil his partner in crime with the rest of KZN, he organised a few surprises for her. 

Ordinarily, Stacey would have celebrated her birthday with her best friend and family back in Cape Town, but, unfortunately, that will not be the case this year. Wanting Stacey to feel like she had a part of home with her this weekend, JSbu decided to bring her family and her three besties to her in a unique way...

It seems the budget to fly everyone up from Cape Town to Durban was a bit steep for JSbu, so he did the next best thing... cardboard cut outs of pictures of Stacey's loved ones: 

Good one, JSbu! The surprises did not end there. What is a birthday celebration without themed birthday T-shirts for the whole team to mark the day? 

JSbu organised 'Happy Stacey Norman Day' T-shirts for the whole team, including Buhle Hlatshwayo, who does traffic, and Nick Tatham, who does sport on the show. 

Now, it is one thing to create memories, but what are memories if they are not captured? JSbu took care of that yet again by getting a Beyonce-themed photo booth by Snap That just for Stacey Norman. Now, if you know anything about Stacey, you would know that she is a loyal member of the Beyhive, which is what Beyoncé's fans are known as.

Such fun! Now a birthday is not a birthday without gifts, cake, food, and the singing of 'Happy Birthday', right? JSbu had to enlist the help of a professional singer for this. Not only did he get one of South Africa's most incredible vocalists, but the vocalist also happens to be from Stacey Norman's favourite band, Mi Casa.

Yes, J Something sang 'Happy Birthday' especially for Stacey, KZN... we are not jealous, you are!
