As expected, this fifth annual Summer Spending survey by short-term lender, Wonga, has found that South Africans will spend less this Festive Season, similarly to Black Friday.
According to this striking survey, households are planning to spend about R5,968 on “extras” over the December break, which is 11% down from last year.

Furthermore, when it comes to finding more money to spend, nearly 40% will use savings, 28% will use their stokvel payout, and 36% will tap into their bonus.

Here's your sign to be responsible with money and ask yourself, "Do I really need this?"
