Thanking His Excellency President Vladimir Putin for taking my call today, so I could gain an understanding of the situation that was unfolding between Russia and Ukraine. pic.twitter.com/jzuWXyIjfL

Cyril has stated the following:
“I outlined our position on the conflict that has unfolded as well as our belief that the conflict should be resolved through mediation and negotiation between the parties and - if need be - with the help of agencies that can help bring a solution to the conflict.”
He further explained that President Putin appreciated South Africa’s balanced approach.

Cyril busy calling Putin while South Africa is currently a dark country. Why not call Eskom rather and understand why citizens are plunged in the dark? Nibe nileqa into ezikude.

One South African had a very valid point, saying that he should release the recording so we can all hear - and we couldn’t agree more!
Another raised a valid point saying that since the presidents are familiar with one another, we should have access to cheaper resources.

Despite the many South Africans who stand with Russia and others who don’t, we are grateful to hear that we are opting for peace at this moment in time.
We hope the spotlight will be placed on improving SA and ensuring we address the issues currently occurring within our own country.
So, what’s your take on this whole situation?
Do you believe we should take it lightly or hold a powerful stance?
