Calling all caffeine addicts and fancy coffee fans.
How do you know someone is obsessed with drinking coffee?

In the last decade, a cup of coffee has gone from being just another beverage to becoming a personality trait.

"Real" coffee fans will tell you about their favourite beans, show you their intricate and elaborate coffeemakers, and only consume the finest coffees there are.
Coffee has become the new wine.

And if you are one of these major coffee fans then we have some great news for you: you can become an actual coffee master and obtain a coffee degree.
The University of Florence in Italy is offering a nine-month-long course on coffee, the first of its kind.
We will cover all aspects of the business. Right from the origins to the preparation and serving of the drink. The course is the only one of its kind, as far as I am aware.- Francesco Garbati Pegna (Course supervisor)

The inaugural class will take 24 students who will learn every aspect of the coffee-making process. From the cultivation of the coffee plant and the intricacies of the coffee supply chain to the preparation of a fresh cup.
The first class will be taught in Italian but future classes will be taught in English.

The students will be lucky enough to learn in person in the country that has been recognised as the coffee capital of the world, as well as being the birthplace of espresso, and the various espresso-based drinks such as macchiatos and cappuccinos.
