Should your family and friends end ties too when you break-up with your partner?

We are talking friends, love, and family. Let us say, hypothetically speaking, you are dating…things are getting pretty serious, you form a bond with your partner's friends and family outside of being around your partner, but what happens when you break-up?
So what must really happen, KZN? Your friends now become your partner's friends and you form a strong bond with your partner's family… then life happens… you break-up.

Should you then still be conversing and hanging out with your partner's friends and still be in communication with their family- irrespective of how you broke up?
A lot really gets intertwined when you are with someone, especially if the relationship was a long-lasting one and in some situations, kids might even be involved.
It's never easy because sometimes genuine relationships are formed.
