Here's how the earthquake caused a stir on social media...

KZN recently came to a halt after people all over the province reported to have felt a tremor.
ECR News reports that seismologists have confirmed that KZN was rocked by two 3.9 magnitude earthquakes in less than 24 hours.

There may have been effects of an earthquake around South Africa, however, our investigative journalists (Twitter) were causing a rumble of their own.
Memes started to become the epicentre of attention all over social media.
