The severe weather conditions in Pietermaritzburg have shocked people around KZN.
It's not every day that it hails in KZN.
Severe weather conditions have been faced in the province however this hailstorm that started earlier on Monday comes as a surprise.

ECR News reports: "The South African Weather Service forecaster Wiseman Dlamini says the wet and windy weather in parts of KZN is expected to continue for the rest of the afternoon and evening."
"Today over KZN, we are expecting thunderstorm activity for the whole day today. We already have thunderstorms over the south-western parts of KZN, including uMgungundlovu District where already hail is observed and also some downpours."
