SA Post Office: "Your parcel is locked at a branch that is closed"

A woman has taken to X (previously known as Twitter) to ask the South African Post Office if they can help her with locating her parcel.

It's almost Christmas time and, of course, with Christmas comes gifting.

So, naturally, people are trying to get their parcels delivered and the most cost-effective way of doing this is through the National Post Office.

But, sadly, this is not always the most efficient way of receiving your parcels.

The ups and downs of the SA Post Office have been in the media for some time now.

Different people have different experiences with using the service, remember the 13-year-old parcel?

Earlier this year, Sanja Hanekom was shocked to receive a final notice from her local post office telling her to collect her missing parcel. When she realised that the parcel was a package that was sent to her from New York in 2010, she was more than just surprised.

Recently, a woman took to X to ask the SA Post Office about her parcel.

The conversation was bleak, to say the least. Even though the SA Post Office responded to her, it wasn't a case of resolution, but rather confusion.

Her conversation opened up the platform for many people who were also waiting on their parcels from the post office.

The user asked others on the platform the question: "Guys I can’t be the only one going through this. Who else is waiting for their parcel so we can go toyi toyi at the @PostofficeSa head office??"

A person said: "Once waited for 6 months for a parcel from London, regardless of the fact that I had a tracking number, no one could assist. To add salt to my bleeding wound, I had to pay a levy cos it was from my overseas I was told. Gudilakhi"

Sadly for Lebo, she did not opt to have her parcel go through the postal services, she was happy to have paid for a courier, but it was out of her hands. Check out the update below:
