"Rubbish disguise": Porch pirate steals package in unique cover-up
Security footage showing a thief stealing a package from a porch in California disguised as a bin bag has left a bad taste in the mouths of many.
You've never seen a porch pirate quite like this!
A California man named Omar Gabriel Munoz came home to find his package missing, but his doorbell camera revealed the culprit – a thief disguised in... wait for it... a black bin bag!
Security footage shows a rustling black bag, complete with feet peeking out the bottom, creeping slowly towards Munoz's porch.
This bizarre "creature" then snatches the package and disappears! Munoz, initially angry, couldn't help but laugh at the thief's ridiculous disguise, reports ABC10.
Luckily, the stolen package only contained phone chargers worth around $10 (about R190), so Munoz decided to forgo a police report.
"At the end of the day, it was kind of funny," Munoz said. "I take everything in the good [sic] way because that's part of life,” he said.
Now that's a positive way to look at things, even when your package gets stolen by a walking garbage bag!
