A total of 57 people were brought out alive after the building suddenly crumbled on Saturday. The Ministry of Emergency Management said another 28 people were injured and seven of them seriously injured.
Rescue efforts ended at a two-storey restaurant in a northern China village that collapsed during an 80th birthday celebration for one of the residents, leaving 29 dead people.

No one knew the immediate reason for what caused the collapse.
There were hundreds of rescue workers using sniffer dogs, cranes, and high-tech sensors to help search the rubble and lifting slabs of concrete in hopes of freeing survivors.
The official China Daily newspaper said the building collapsed at 9:40am on Saturday. They still need to do some further investigation and oversee what actually caused the accident.
The region where the restaurant is lies in the heart of China's coal country, where thousands of miners have died in explosions, collapses, and floods over past years.
