Kim K’s comment was that people need to “get off their f*ing ass and get to work”.
Although this sound started spreading in quite a humourous way, it’s since been facing a lot of controversy.
Many fans were outraged due to the fact that Kim Kardashian does not have a typical job where she has to work, yet she is telling other people that they need to get to work.

This “hypocritical” comment has ignited on all social platforms.
This remark has also sparked response from her previous employees who've called her insensitive to the troubles non-famous people around the world face in the workforce.
Get your f*ing ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days. You have to surround yourself with people that want to work.- Kim Kardashian
I was an editor on the Kardashian apps in 2015 in LA, worked days nights & weekends, could only afford groceries from the 99 Cents Only Store, called out “sick” more than once bc I couldn’t put gas in my car to get to the office, & was reprimanded for freelancing on the side ❤️ https://t.co/mzvnTomjS3

Kim clarified in an interview with Good Morning America that her words were taken out of context.
Her clarification was as follows: "It wasn't a blanket statement towards women or to feel like I don't respect the work or think that they don't work hard. I know that they do."
Some fans took it with a grain of salt but others aren’t letting this comment slip.

Kim further explained that she was frustrated with a question that the interviewer had asked before the work advice question.
Thus, she ended up answering more forcefully than she had meant to.
“That statement that I said was without questions and conversation around it, and it became a soundbite really with no context," Kim said.
Proceeding with an apology, Kim later mentioned: "Having a social media presence and being on a reality show does not mean overnight success, and you have to really work hard to get there, even if it might seem like it's easy and that you can build a really successful business off of social media," she said. "And you can, if you put in a lot of hard work."
