Fellow South Africans...

South Africa has recently been having more loadshedding scheduled than usual. It’s no shock that loadshedding is caused by insufficient generating units and other factors.
So here's where things are getting a little spicy...
During the Africa Renewables Investment Summit, the CEO of Eskom – Andre De Ruyter stated that Eskom may implement Stage 15 loadshedding which would result in quite a few changes.
Although many South Africans are joking about how this would be a "nightmare in Mzansi", many are talking about the valid risks this would pose to our economy.
Specialists discussed that it would result in a huge number of job losses, as well as increased difficulty with maintaining a workable and liveable condition.

South Africans are outraged, mentioning that this mere concept is "unacceptable, unjust and unconstitutional."
Here are some thoughts shared by users on Twitter:

“Stage 15 load shedding. I don’t want to know what that looks like,” De Ruyter said, adding that it would cost 100,000 jobs.

Someone tell de Ruyter we know stage 15 is fearmongering. We were not born yesterday.

The last time I saw the words 'Stage 15' was on my Oppikoppi schedule in 2016.

The threat of Stage 15 is looming - and we don't even know what that means yet!
Some experts warn that it is not as close as we think, however, one thing is certain; South Africa needs to look at renewable energy and what action we will take.
Three hundred billion rand would be the amount of money required to improve the state of electricity in South Africa.
