Silk Sonic would like to gracefully and humbly bow out of next year's Grammys.
Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak - the duo behind Silk Sonic in 2021 - will not be in the running for any awards at the 2023 Grammys.
The band, who achieved major success with their debut song - 'Leave The Door Open', has decided not to submit their debut album, 'An Evening With Silk Sonic', for consideration.
Bruno revealed the news in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. The duo has already won several awards. 'Leave The Door Open' bagged four awards - including 'Song of the Year' - at the 2022 Grammys.
"We truly put our all on this record, but Silk Sonic would like to gracefully, humbly and most importantly, sexually, bow out of submitting our album this year,” Bruno told the publication.
“We hope we can celebrate with everyone on a great year of music and partake in the party. Thank you for letting Silk Sonic thrive," he added.

Bruno has won a total of 15 Grammys and received 31 nominations throughout his career. He told Rolling Stone his success with Silk Sonic has been amazing.
"We’d be crazy to ask for anything more. Andy and I, and everyone that worked on this project, won the moment the world responded to ‘Leave The Door Open.’ Everything else was just icing on the cake."

Meanwhile, Bruno's solo career continues to flourish. The singer's 2012 smash hit, 'Locked Out of Heaven', has officially been certified diamond.
The song featured on Bruno's sophomore album, 'Unorthodox Jukebox'. The track, which made it to number one in several countries, was nominated for three Grammys.
"Just in time!! Locked Out Of Heaven is officially Diamond 10 years later. Which makes me 6x Diamond Brunz from here on out! News like this for some reason makes me wanna climb on top [of\ a mountain and scream “STOP PLAYIN WIT ME!”. I love you all and thank you for supporting these songs throughout the years! It always has and always will be all for you. To Be continued …" he wrote on Instagram.
