The queen of Christmas landed herself a Christmas special on Apple TV. 'Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special'.
Speaking of the special, Mariah had this to say:
I don’t always love the use of the word magic when it comes to Christmas,” admits Carey, chatting with EW over Zoom from a winter wonderland. “But for this… it is. It’s more like, here’s the spirit — what we want to feel right now. We really need to just feel Christmas, no matter if we can’t be with our loved ones- Mariah Carey
In the special, Father Christmas faces a crisis of holiday cheer in true 2020 style, so he calls on the only person who could possibly save the day: Mariah Carey, of course. Her spectacular adventure includes special appearances from Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson and Snoop Dogg, to name a few.
