Princess Charlene of Monaco: An update on her health
Updated | By Stacey & J Sbu
It's been a journey but now the path is clear.
South Africa's sweetheart has had quite the rollercoaster on her journey to health but we are finally glad to hear her final update on the matter.
Prince Albert of Monaco hopes to be finally reunited with his wife, Princess Charlene of Monaco. He released the statement to a newspaper, Monaco-Main, below:

The battle with health began in May last year during a planned trip to South Africa. This led her to be grounded in her homeland for six months.

This ongoing journey has been hard on her but also her family. She has been unable to make public appearances and fulfil her duties of HSH Princess Charlene of Monaco.
The former Olympic swimmer told South Africa's Channel24 that it had been a "trying time" and that it was "extremely difficult" for her that she could not return home to Monaco for her milestone anniversary of 10 years with her husband.
She has, however, kept active on social media, sharing an illustrated family Christmas card, a birthday video from her foundation, and a tribute to late bishop Desmond Tutu, who passed away in December.

Charlene has missed a number of public engagements due to her health in recent months, including last month's Sainte Dévote celebrations. We hope that she will be able to join the public in celebration and service now that it has been indicated she has an all clear to get back to it.
Oh, how we've missed seeing her infectious smile, kind heart, and golden soul in action. We hope that this will be the start of a new beginning for her health and that we will see lots of new initiatives affecting lives all around South Africa and Monaco.
