Police to issue £100 fines to those not wearing masks from 24 July
Updated | By Nobuntu Swartbooi
The UK government has released a new rule that will be initiated from the 24th of July. No mask = Fine.
England have officially declared that the wearing of face coverings on public transport is compulsory and they added a new rule to be implemented next week.

Now shoppers will have no choice but to wear face masks in shops all the time, unless they want to be handed a £100 (R2,000) fine. This apparently is to help stop or lessen the second wave of COVID-19.
In this law, the government requires shoppers to wear a simple cloth face-covering rather than a medical mask. Only young children or those with certain disabilities will be exempt from the new regulations.
Retailers will be able to advise customers to wear their masks, but the staff will not be expected to enforce the law, instead, the police will have that power.
Do you think fining people will help them adhere to rules?
