Group planning got messy? WhatsApp's got your back! The new events option allows anyone to create an event, so friends can RSVP. The best part? If you RSVP'd yes, you'll get a reminder! Here's how it works...
Struggling to keep track of group plans? Well, fret no more! WhatsApp just launched a game-changing events feature that will transform your group chats from chaotic to coordinated.
This new feature allows you to plan those braais and get-togethers directly on WhatsApp, whether it's virtual or in-person. According to WhatsApp, anyone is able to create an event for others to respond to so all members of the group are informed of who will be attending.Creating the event includes details like time, date, and location. Members can then easily RSVP, ensuring everyone's on the same page. To add to this, event details are stored in the group info for easy access. Those attending the event will then receive automatic reminders to keep them on top of their social calendar.
This feature is currently rolling out to groups within Communities, those handy hubs for organising like-minded individuals. But fear not, regular groups – your turn is coming soon!
Surprisingly, that's not all! WhatsApp will soon be introducing organised replies for Announcement Groups. Now, group admins can hear your voice on important updates without the chat turning into a notification nightmare.
Replies are grouped together, keeping things clean and easy to follow.
So, get ready to streamline your social life and ditch the planning drama. WhatsApp's new features are here to make staying connected with your communities easier and more organised than ever before.
