If you are familiar with the iconic 1991 movie featuring Anthony Hopkins, then you will remember the character Buffalo Bill, who was the owner of a suit made of human skin.

Gross, right?

Well, following in his nasty footsteps is PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), who have taken their messaging to the next level with their latest campaign.

In order to put the spotlight on retailers and brands still selling leather and fur, PETA have decided to launch their very own only store.

And it's unlike any online store you will ever see.

The satirical store is home to multiple clothing items and accessories "made of the finest leather", but upon further inspection, while browsing the website you'll soon see that the clothing features human faces, ears, and in some cases even a pair of nipples.

Luckily there's no need to freak out too much just yet as the items on the site are obviously not really up for sale and are just incredibly well-done digital illustrations.

Each product also has a detailed product description offering some insight into the person whose been used to create the product with a little bit of a backstory and even features some reviews:

By now, PETA is well known for pushing the boundaries with its campaigns and messaging, which sometimes is very explicit and maybe even a little offensive.

Well, PETA have once again successfully made sure that they are the topic on everyone's tongue and they definitely made a statement!
