As you can see, this viral video has even caught the eye of @MmusiMaimane.
People are totally furious at the unsafe conditions and inhumane ways these people are forced to live.
Mmusi captions the video saying: "A government that allows this to persist is inhumane. No child should have to swim to get to their classroom. No grandmother should have to enter a drum to cross a river."
This video, which was first posted by @malolo_t on TikTok, has since sparked debate all over the internet.

In the video, the men are seeing wading through the water as the bucket is brought to Gogo.
Once a suitable spot is found for Gogo to get on, she is put into the makeshift transportation.
Onlookers are captured laughing hysterically, but upon further inspection, we realise how demeaning this moment must be for her.
With government failing to step in and create a solution, many South Africans have to resort to such tactics on the daily.
So many empathetic South Africans took to the comments to express their political views and how they think things around the country should be.
It's sad to say that we are very far away from reaching a reasonable standard of living for all .
These videos are so important in order to bring awareness to what is going on around us.
