"The only way to shop is online" - Stacey Norman
Updated | By Stacey & J Sbu
This growing phenomenon doesn't seem to be growing as much as we think it is...

We all know that Stacey Norman loves to shop 'til she drops, but something people don't know is that she does it all from right behind a screen.
Online shopping is the new craze, however, the stats don't lie. Only 1% of South Africans shop online for clothes and beauty products.
So what exactly is the issue?
There is a big gap is South Africa's consumer base, many people do not have the luxury of being able to shop online.
Platforms have increased exponentially as people are able to book flights, buy insurance, apply for a job, learn a new skill, and so much more.
This has still not improved the overall online consumption with regards to the whole population.

Another factor to consider is that South Africans have a different mentality from people overseas. We do not have the same nature and habits when it comes to purchasing goods.
Many of our listeners have shared that they like to support local, try on something before they buy it, and be able to have an in-person transaction post-lockdown.
However, Stacey is dead-set on online shopping.
Is it the future or just not worth all the rave? We will dive into this between 16:00-19:00, stay tuned.
