This is one of the biggest issues in South Africa.

In J Sbu's personal practice, once he establishes that it is in fact a telemarketer phoning him, he responds with his classic line.

J Sbu answers with: "If this is not going to make me money and no one is going to die, then please call me back at a more convenient time."

When the telemarketer asks when a convenient time is, he says... "never".

This is not the golden rule with how to answer but there is no "by the book" way one should go about dealing with these calls.

The most important thing is to not give out any personal information and always stay vigilant.

Do what works for you and always remember to be kind...
