Pumping tunes and bleeding ears all over Mzansi is Jozi's very own Roupesh Koosialee.
According to TimesLive, the car buff, who previously held the record for the loudest car in the world at 178.72db, set his sights on achieving 180db at this year's International Auto Sound Challenge Association (IASCA) event at Sibaya Casino in KwaZulu-Natal.
Despite failing to achieve this target, he added 0.38 db to his previous record to set a new world record of 179.10db.
Currently, SA holds eight sound records, all set at the Sibaya Casino event. Every year the records from the previous year are reset, according to Mohnish Ramgovind, IASCA events organiser.
To further understand the magnitude of this sound, noise above 120dB is believed to cause immediate harm to your ears while F1 cars can go up to 140db.
You'll definitely won't want to stand too close when Roupesh is making a ruckus.
