This person grabbed the bull by the horns and made a big ticket purchase.
Sometimes paying an obscene amount of money for an animal can be justified, but this purchase was ridiculously expensive.
A farm in Mpumalanga sold off a Boran bull for a record R2.3-million at an auction on Saturday, 6 August.
According to Farmers Weekly, this beat the standing record of R1.7-million for a Boran bull.
Un-bull-lievable!

Business Insider reports that: "The eight-year-old bull, which was eventually sold to Mutanda Farms in Zambia, was not the only big sale at the auction. It also sold two Picasso half-brothers for R1,5m and R1,4m. Also sold were Kelly and for R1,1m and Freckles (a pregnant cow) for R1m. It also sold two heifers – cows that are yet have a calf – for total of R970,000."
How do you feel about animals having "human" names?
"These results have surpassed all previous records and have successfully set new ones for our beloved Boran breed," Hurwitz Farming said in a statement on Facebook.
Sorry for "Boran" you with the details but this purchase means so much for SA farming.
The impact of Jumbo the Boran Bull on his local farm and the one it is going to will be felt for a lifetime.
