"My family has shunned me simply because of whom I choose to love."
Updated | By Stacey and JSbu
Should the approval of your family mean anything to you when it comes to whom you choose to spend the rest of your life with?
The Fixer, which we do every Wednesday, is all about real-life stories and you, KZN, are needed to help us navigate the scenarios and problems presented to us.
Today's story is a bit tricky because it involves choosing between the one you love and family.
Reynold is dating a woman who is pregnant with a child of another man. They are both in love and want to be together. Reynold's family claim he has brought shame to their family name, as he is dating a woman carrying the child of another man.
Hi guys, I come from a very conservative family who are very religious. I am in my early 30’s and I have found love. It was unplanned and unexpected, but I feel that she is my soul mate. My girlfriend just happens to be pregnant with another mans child. We met whilst she was a few weeks pregnant from her ex and fell inlove. We are both in love and even though the circumstances are not ideal, we are determined to stay together. My family says I have brought shame to them and have told me that they will not accept our relationship or plans to wed in the future. I am so lost, I love my family but does my happiness not matter?- Reynold
Reynold is definitely in a sticky situation here.
Wishing Reynold the best of luck with his decision.

What should Reynold do since his family is giving him an ultimate?
