What are the best' lies your ex ever told you?
Allegedly, flattery will get you nowhere, but some exes really know how to swindle us with promises and compliments.
We decided to open "that can of worms" and find out what some of the 'best' lies our exes have told us are.
People will go to great lengths to conceal information or not tell the whole truth. Very often, these tactics are only revealed later on.
We decided to take to our Facebook to get the inside scoop from our listeners...

My husband told me his ex girlfriend died in a car accident...that is why he kept her pics but then we were walking in the mall and a girl calls him. He turns back and it's the same person in the pictures calling my husband "baby" in font of me- ooooh I wanted to 'moer' her but I ended up 'moering' my husband instead.
Once you catch someone in a lie, it often makes you question everything they said.
These "white lies" and half-truths plant seeds of doubt in a partner's mind and can often be the downfall of the entire relationship.
A leopard never changes its spots, once you catch someone in a lie, who's to say they won't do it again?

Some people really try to get away with the most but if you're anything like Stacey, the best lie your ex ever told you is "I'll try".
We think that actions speak louder than words and the more someone patronises you with the same two words over and over again, the less sentiment it holds.
Some of the responses form our listeners were truly eye-opening:
- My ex said that: "I can not breath without you. I want to spend everyday with you until my heart stops beating." But today she is still alive and her heart is breathing without me.
- Someone said he will give me the world, yet I still see so many people living in it..
- “I’d take a bullet for you," when he literally used me as a human shield.
- He lied and told me he was a successful business man. Meantime it was his father in law's business. He also lied and said he was divorced mean time only separated, so happy his own words came to pass ...his wife divorced him.
We only have one word to describe these comments... HECTIC.
We hope that these listeners will guard their hearts the next time they enter a serious relationship and not let someone wrong them twice.

My ex-husband said I made him lie about being terminally ill and in hospital under a false name because he didn't want anyone to visit him in hospital. He was never ill and never in the hospital, this was confirmed because I actually phoned the hospital and told him if he's dying I want a death certificate.
As you can see, these exes were all talk and no action when it came to game time. It didn't workout for these listeners but in hindsight it was probably for the best.
