48 year old mom from KZN graduates alongside her son with a degree in criminology

A heartwarming story that proves that it's never too late to start learning.
Earlier this week, we shared the story about Dumisani Ngobese, the graduate from UKZN who got his degree despite all the odds stacked against him.
This prompted a listener to slide into our DMs and share the amazing story about her mother who gradated at the same time.

Nervay Bagwandin is the daughter of 48-year-old graduate, Ronica Bagwandin. She shares with us that her mother just graduated with her Bachelors in Social Sciences Honours in Criminology.
Nervay shares: "She obtained distinctions throughout her undergraduate and honours! We are super proud of her! She is mine and my brothers biggest motivator!"

She further states how her mom has overcome so much adversity in her life, having been raised by a single mother and not having the funds to attend university. Consequently, Ronica decided to enroll at university four years ago, all culminating in her graduating on Monday (16/05).
Her family is so proud of her efforts.
