There is never a dull moment in Mzansi and this past weekend lived up to that billing following a surprise engagement and wedding.
The Royal AM chairman and son of businesswoman Dr Shauwn Mkhize shocked social media this weekend when he shared a video of his engagement to Tamia Louw.

So, why would the engagement news of Andile cause such a media storm? Well, because of the small matter that includes the mother of his two children, influencer and musician Sithelo Shozi.

As far as many knew, Andile and Sithelo as recently as late November were very much still in a relationship. Added to that Andile had reportedly bought a luxury car for Sithelo just a month ago, as shared on her Instagram:
It has been widely speculated that MaMkhize has not been a fan of Sithelo, with many social media users going as far as claiming that she had probably 'forced' her son to marry Tamia.
MaMkhize has clearly taken offence to these allegations. Taking to her Instagram on Monday, she shared the following:
In part, MaMkhize shares the following:
As a mother it is my job to guide and support my son’s decisions. And I would like it to known that I will never choose for him. I accepted the mother of my grandchildren with all her flaws, whilst the whole world was blaming me but because I fully understand that nobody is perfect- Dr Shauwn Mkhize
MaMkhize ended off her comments by welcoming her new Makoti, wishing the newlyweds well on the road ahead.
