How lucky is lucky?
Normally, when lottery winners are in the news, it’s because they went on a spending rampage. However, this woman won some major cash money dollar twice!
A 70-year-old woman from Delaware made bank after she won twice in one day.
The big win happened when she purchased a scratch off ticket from a petrol station in Newark, USA.
A few days later, when the final reveal happened, she scooted down to the lottery headquarters to cash in on her mega win.
Officials state that in celebration of her monetary victory, she stopped in Dover and bought three “SERIOUS MONEY” lottery tickets.
“My best friend was the first person I told about winning the $100,000 top prize, and she came with me to claim it.”
"When I scratched the $300,000 (about R5.4 million) winning SERIOUS MONEY ticket later in the day, we just sat there in disbelief. It was absolute insanity."- Lottery winner
Business Insider reports that the duo returned to the lottery headquarters again to collect her prize, resulting in her walking away with a whopping $400,000 – around R7.25-million.
“What are the chances of something like this happening. This is extraordinary,” says one Twitter user.
If you ever win the lottery, maybe try your luck again cause you never know what might happen…
