LISTEN: KZN Gogo goes viral for hit single 'Obani Lababantu'

December may be a week away but we think it is safe to say that we have a certified hit for this festive season!
Social media is abuzz with a new hit single courtesy of a 65-year-old woman who goes by the name of 'Gee Six Five'.
Her single, 'Obani Lababantu' - which is sung in isiZulu, has gone viral and is even topping the iTunes music charts. Thousands of South Africans have streamed and shared the song to date.

According to 'Gee Six Five', the song is a mixture of the hugely popular music genres, amapiano and kwaito.

Since going viral, 'Gee Six Five' has had several interviews with print and radio media. She is also said to be furthering her studies by obtaining a PHD in medicine at The University Of KwaZulu-Natal.
What an inspiration!
It seems, though, that 'Gee Six Five' has no plans for new music or plans to tour the country to perform it:
This is the first and the last project, I did this project because I wanted to see what happens [in the music business].- Gee Six Five
