In light of recent incidents that have occurred in the uMhlanga and Durban area, Stacey Norman has decided to take a stand and speak out for something to be done!
In reference to the several rape and spiking allegations that have been faced in this area, Stacey took to air what her take on this highly sensitive and important situation is.

In case you missed it, the sexual assault incident that sparked this reaction is currently under investigation by the authorities.
"The alleged incidents in Chartwell, which is literally my backyard, are so distressing and heart-breaking to hear. These are scary situations young ladies are facing and no one is speaking up," says Stacey Norman.
Moreover, the increasing number of events and subsequent full-capacity allowances have created room for more criminal opportunities - especially against women.
Now more than ever it's important that we stay vigilant, stay informed, and stay safe.

So, as the country heads back to ‘business as usual’, it may be time to share a few safety tips for men, women, and parents who attend gatherings during the day and at night.
- Safety in numbers- avoid being alone in open and enclosed spaces
- Pre-arrange lifts- book your e-hailing trips in advance and travel in groups
- Drink in moderation and watch your drink- don't accept open drinks or leave your drink unattended
- Keep your valuables hidden- minimise your risk of being a target
- Stay in well-lit areas and stay vigilant in less-lit areas
- Have a buddy-system- always!
- Tell someone where you are- especially when you're departing and arriving.
