Here are some tips that will help you in your relationship:
- Process your feelings before engaging in a difficult conversation
- Thinking about timing when having the talk
- Start with 'I' statements and feelings
- Focus on being both being heard and listening
- Make compromising and resolution the goal
- Set clear boundaries
- Leave notes for your partner.
- Regularly check-in throughout the day
- Pick up on non-verbal cues
- Talk about the future
- Seek professional help or advice when needed
