Why are pineapples hard to cut?
Unlike other fruits, pineapples will not continue to ripen after being plucked, so choose wisely. Pineapples, like the women in the ECR drive team, have quite a thick skin. Additionally, there is a rind that protects the precious plant for any pets.
Pineapples should be eaten soon after they're bought. If you need to store them, store them in the refrigerator; they'll keep longer.

HOT TIP: If it's hard, it's still unripe. Scent – Give it a sniff! Ripe pineapples will emit a slightly sweet aroma.
