The ‘Fake It Till You Make It’ reality star has announced that together with his donors, they have managed to raise R1-million.
“ WE DID IT JOE! We raised R1 000 000.00 for students in 5 days!!! We literally did it! Thank you to every single one of you who contributed R10 to this initiative. WE REALLY DID THAT,’ he wrote on Instagram.
He thanked his donors for their contribution.
"What we have done is instead of waiting for a solution, WE BECAME THE SOLUTION! I’m so proud of us," he wrote on Instagram.
The act of kindness comes at a time when many South African tertiary students are protesting against financial exclusion.
Although many of the universities were supposed to start their academic year earlier this month, learning is not taking place due to the protests.
