Kanye West says he'll be "homeless in a year" in most recent interview
Updated | By Stacey and J Sbu
Surely Kim K has a guest bedroom somewhere in her mansion?
Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, is known for being eccentric and saying whatever is on his mind.

While he might not always have a filter, we're pretty confident that the one thing he does have is lots and lots of money.
Especially after dropping his 10th studio album, 'DONDA', which was a major success, selling massive amounts of expensive merch and let's not forget his Yeezy empire.

At the end of the day Ye has money so why is he claiming that he will be homeless within a year?
Especially considering he owns multiple properties?
Well as it turns out it is because of these various homes that he will be without one soon.

In a recent interview with German culture magazine, 032c Ye spoke with artist Tino Sehgal about a wide range of topics.
He mentioned he can be corny sometimes and he spoke about his new secret project, "The Funeral Rehearsal of Kanye West" but what has really captured everyone's attention is his plans to help combat homelessness in the USA.

The hip-hop star has always invested in real estate and has acquired some sizable properties which include two ranches, a concrete bunker in Malibu and an enormous, custom LA Hidden Hills mansion (where Kim is currently staying with the kids.)
He had recently put his Wyoming ranch on the market but revealed in the interview why he plans on selling all of his property:
We are under capitalist rule, and it's killing us. It's time to change that. The ultimate good life is simpler. It's for those who are willing to not have any possessions. Your baggage weighs you down. I'm going to be homeless in a year. I'm going to turn all the homes I own into churches. We're making this orphanage, and it will be a place where anyone can go. It should be like an artist commune. Food should always be available. The opportunity to make art and be around friends should always be available.- Ye

This should actually come as no surprise as Ye has previously mentioned that he is very passionate about combating homelessness as it has been a topic that weighs heavy on his heart.
Just last month he dropped off 1,000 meals to LA Mission, a homeless charity, and had a meeting with their CEO, Reverend Troy Vaughn where he had laid out four ways he can assist the homeless.

He is reportedly planning on using his own companies to provide education, housing and jobs to those on the streets while building a relationship with charity organisations across LA, and together they will try to help feed the homeless population.
While Kanye might still be one of the most controversial figures in music today, it is heartwarming to see him use his platform and his fortune for the greater good.
