If you caught a fellow colleague gossiping about you, what would you do?
The office is always a tricky environment, because not everyone is going to get along...
But, KZN, what if you are going about your day, walking past a few people, and you hear some chatter about you?
Well, on Tuesday, Stacey and JSbu had some "Hot Tea" for KZN.
We have a colleague whom has shared with us that she caught a fellow colleague gossiping about her behind her back! We know, right - shocking!
She was walking past the corridor and heard her name and leaned in a little closer to hear what was being spoken about - she was legit on her bike about to go and confront the colleague when Stacey and JSbu had to stage a mini intervention for her not to approach the colleague right now, as her emotions were heightened.
Stacey and JSbu advised the colleague not to engage in anything hectic, as it it a work place and we should always try keep things professional, right?
The urge to stoop down to their level or even be petty is real BUT one must exercise restraint JSbu, I hate confrontations and also I would have not be in the wrong why do I owe that person a confrontation- The next time I have to communicate with you- you would know that I know about the fairy-tale stories that you have spreading about me without me saying much BUT after that I am done. Let us keep it cute and professional.
The decent thing these people could have done, if they were going to talk badly and falsely about someone behind their back is to at the least want to check if the coast was clear before they went in guns blazing.
