"If he was man enough to bring home the money we wouldn't be in this position."

As a society, we have been taught for centuries that the men of the household make the money, they should be the main breadwinner in the home, and sometimes they are the only ones even allowed to earn an income.
But for years now, women have been fighting for equal rights and these days gender roles within the home can no longer be defined by the strict rules and dimensions set many years ago.

Being a stay-at-home dad is becoming more normal and women being the only source of income for the household is no longer as frowned upon as before.
That doesn't mean that the situation can't still cause stress in some relationships.
Jade is experiencing some serious bumps in the road with her marriage.

Feeling fed-up and out of options, she turned to Stacey and J Sbu with the hopes that one of our listeners might have previously had the same experience and can offer some constructive advice.

Jade starts by explaining her situation as follows:
When my husband and I got married 6 years ago things were very different, I was 2 years younger than him and just started in the work field. He was established in his career. Fast forward to a few degrees later, 2 kids, a change of city and a career change for my husband, the roles have reversed.- Jade

Everything sounds fine and not too serious, right? Unfortunately not.
The pandemic has affected the family massively as her husband has been without work for the majority of the last year.
