There's nothing like a well-kept family secret to make you realise your parents might not be who you always thought they were.

Putting your parents on a pedestal is part of being a child but whether we like to admit it or not, parents are human beings just like us.
And like any other person, they make mistakes and they will never be perfect. It can be difficult to accept sometimes because of the version of this person we have created in our minds and when they do something that chips away at that idolised version, it can be devastating.

Lindokuhle recently experienced this when his aunt shared some very eye-opening information with him. He had always thought he knew exactly who his parents were but this revelation has made him doubt everything he thought he knew.
