"I don't think my mother's clothing is age-appropriate and it's embarrassing"

There's a time and a place for everything...
The subject of clothing can be touchy at the best of times.

There are the classic issues of should women keep all body parts covered at all times, should we support clothing brands that are not more eco-conscious and size-inclusive?
These three questions are already considered quite triggering, but let's focus on just one for now.

Michelle recently reached out to Stacey and J Sbu with a clothing concern.
According to her, her mother has the tendency to wear clothing that most would not consider appropriate for her age. While parents have the general tendency to be quite embarrassing, there is a fine line between wholesome humiliation and straight-up shame.

Michelle feels like her mother is pushing it too far. But could she just be overreacting and is she just being dramatic?
Is it true that when you reach a certain age, some clothing items become off-limits? Or should we be able to wear whatever we please for the rest of our days?
