Splitting bills in relationships can be tricky especially when partners fall in different earnings brackets. While gender norms of the male being the breadwinner and women being the home-taker has evolved, some of our East Coasters still believe in them.

Here are some comments shared via our Facebook page:

  • "What's his is mine and what's mine is mine"
  • "Our expenses are split according to the value of our salaries"
  • "Always 50/50"
  • "We have a workshop...he works and I shop"
  • "My girlfriend pays for our bill so that my wife and I can enjoy my hard earned money"
  • "100% him and 0% me"

Confession: Is this the worst way to break up with someone?

Stay tuned for the podcast. Expect some real talk, a whole lot of drama and who knows...maybe it will leave us 'looking for a man in finance?
