What colour is a zebra?

Since back in the day, we have been perplexed by this seemingly simple question.

Okay, hear us out - a recent post by field guide Hugh Morris at the Marataba Luxury Lodge in the Marakele National Park captures an incredibly unique zebra that has blown our minds. 

The video below appears to show a zebra that is majority black. Watch below:

So here is the answer:

Experts share that zebras are black with white stripes.

At first glance, it may appear the opposite is true - after all, the black stripes of many zebras end on the belly and towards the inside of the legs, revealing the rest as white, according to Britannica.
