Gauteng woman earns Guinness World Record after allegedly giving birth to 10 babies
Updated | By Stacey and JSbu
Social media is in a tailspin after a story about a 37-year-old woman from Tembisa who has given birth to decuplets.
Gosiame Thamara Sithole is the talk of South Africa after what can only be described as a miracle that took place on Monday 7 June 2021..
As a result, Gosiame has also broken a Guinness World Record previously held by Malian Malian Halima Cisse. It is reported that Cissehad gave birth to nine children in Morocco just last month.
IOL reports that Goisame's husband, Teboho Tsotetsi, shared the following with Pretoria News:
It’s seven boys and three girls. She was seven months and seven days pregnant. I am happy. I am emotional. I can’t talk much. Let’s talk again in the morning please?- Teboho Tsotetsi
It is reported that Gosiame gave birth by Caesarean section at a hospital in Pretoria late on Monday night.
The happy couple says that their pregnancy was completely natural and no fertility treatments were done and that both mom and her ten children are doing well.
As expected, this news garnered massive attention from South Africans who have been shocked by this story.
Here are some of the reactions on social media:

National Baby Shower is being organised for the 10 babies from that Tembisa couple (Mmarena le Mokgalabje). I hope Baby City doesn't hijack the concept & shut everybody out like KFC did with that national wedding.#NationalBabyShower
