Flag Animal Farm addresses social media post about closure
Updated | By Stacey & J Sbu
KZN’s fun-loving animal sanctuary, home to over
1,000 rescued animals, has expressed gratitude to the person who helped
raise awareness about their possible closure.

After a post about the farm went viral on social media, Genevieve Chisholm from Flag Animal Farm sat down with local YouTuber Ericco from Mzansi Adventures for a heartfelt conversation about the challenges they’ve been facing.
The social media post claimed that Flag Animal Farm would be closing.
“I think that post came from someone with a massive heart, someone with a lot of concern about the farm. For the last three months the farm has been an absolutely red. What I mean by red is like absolute panic but that’s not just us it’s every single tourism venue," Chisholm said.
"So I truly believe there is some truth in that because a lot of the venues are closing. If things don’t improve, where do we go?”
While there is no immediate closure of the farm in sight, Chisholm noted that tourism in KwaZulu-Natal has taken a knock.
“I think the awareness that tourism in KZN is at a critical stage,” Chisholm said.
