For obvious reasons, this reality show was one of SA's most-watched series, but although it had been incredibly successful, it was not without drama as it was reported in 2015 that contestant Axola Mbengo (Bexx) was allegedly assaulted by fellow housemate Siyanda Ngwenya (Adams) while she was asleep.

Adams was kicked off the show after he claimed to have slept with Bexx, although she said that she did not give consent. She was also removed from the show amid concerns for her well-being.
