Expectations bring disappointment, lets lift the heavy weight off your heart
Updated | By Stacey & J Sbu
Shift your perspective, change your life.
Transitioning out of lockdown and now in full force working mode can bring a lot of anxiety and issues.

Expectations and conforming to the status quo can be stressful, however, there is one thing to make that step in the right direction.
Accepting change and your emotions is the first step on the journey to a healthy mental state.

Next, you need to change your perspective.
Changing your perspective can really change your life. Realising that it isn't "the end of the world" when something doesn't go your way and learning how to adapt is a skill that will truly allow you to stay afloat in the work that tends to drown you.
You need to rationalise a life of uncertainty. If the past two years have taught us anything, it's that we have to be prepared for the unprepared and no matter what, put our mental state first.
Lastly, you need to make time for yourself and the things that bring you joy.
Whether that be exercise which releases tension and endorphins or going for coffee with a friend so you can talk or even a simple, calming exercise like reading, painting or listening to music will all assist in the endeavour to maintain balance.
Physical, mental, and emotional balance all play an important role in our well-being.
If you don't have time, make time.
