A UKZN student has just graduated against all odds.
His heart-warming story comes at a much-needed time after much stress and challenges have presented themselves post-lockdown.
This viral story is one that we all know too well. Dumisani Ngobese was the first of his family to graduate and was raised by his grandmother, who was a street vendor.

ECR News reports: One of the graduates, Dumisani Ngobese from Bhukhanana, a rural area outside eMpangeni, could not hold back his tears after he was conferred with a Bachelor of Arts degree at a ceremony held at the UKZN’s Westville Campus on Friday.
He described his moment on stage as a short-lived but unforgettable moment.

Now for the big question... what's next for this star student?
Dumisani shares that he has been offered a permanent job and in fact he starts today (16 May 2022).
He has his briefcase at the ready and can't wait to start.
