Updated | By Stacey & J Sbu
The steaks are high when it comes to cooking a steak...
From grill to plate, here are the five ways to cook a steak...
1. Blue
Blue steaks, also know as "blue rare” or “bleu,” is the first stage on the steak doneness chart. The outside of the steak is seared, but for such a short time that the interior remains cool and essentially raw.
We know what you must be thinking, how could I ever eat a raw steak? Many enjoy the steak to be as juicy and meaty as possible. You'll never know if you like it if you don't try.

3. Medium
Right in the middle, this type of steak is best for those that like the best of both worlds. If you're on the fence and unsure about how a restaurant will make your steak, medium is always a safe bet.

4. Medium-well
A further variation of medium, the medium-well is cooked just that little bit more.
This type of steak has been cooked throughout and will only show a hint of pinkness inside.
Last but not least, coming in hot we have...
5. Well done
Ending off the level of doneness for steaks is well done. Beef can easily become flavourless and dry when cooked for too long, which is why most steak-lovers swear against well doneness.
However, many swear by it to ensure that a steak is cooked fully.
