A crime that was caught on tape has South Africans reaching for their pockets... twice.
A camera bag and wallet were stolen on St Thomas Road in Musgrave, Durban.

Just like that, the goods were swiped out the car from the front seat and the offender was on his way.
Luckily, this moment was captured by CCTV footage and the licence plate could be seen by the authorities.
We have so many questions...
Was the car not locked? Where was the driver? How did he spot the bag?
It appears as though the man dressed in work clothes including white pants, brown shoes, and a striped shirt was eyeing out this victim.
Cruising away in his personal vehicle, this felon has many perplexed with his stylish fit and vehicle. Thus proving that appearance means nothing when it comes to crime.
Always take care of your belongings no matter where you are parked and do not leave valuables in clear view (the front or backseat).

This story is an eye-opener for many about their own car safety.
Here's to hoping that the owner of the stolen belongings had insurance and was able to get to some conclusion on his case...
