Durban's famous snake-catcher, Nick Evans, has just snagged another wild snake.
Double the heads means double the trouble.
A bizarre snake find has just happened right in our backyard, Durban North.
The wonderful Nick Evans, Durban's famous snake-catcher and rescuer, has just shared the mind-blowing details surrounding this two-headed egg-eater.
WATCH: Man sleeps with two pythons
Like many other South Africans, Nick was at a braai but unlike us, he received the most surprising image from Ndwedwe.
The image showed "a Southern Brown Egg-eater, a common, totally harmless species. However, this one had two heads!"
Nick shares that two-headed snakes hatch in captivity and in the wild, but it's very rare. It is a deformity.
Nick jumped at the opportunity to rescue this snake that was slithering around the concerned gentleman's yard.
He further mentions that this snake is a juvenile, around 30cm in length.
Nick says: "It was quite interesting to see how it moved. Sometimes, the heads would try go in opposite directions from one another, other times, it would rest one head on the other. That seemed the most effective way of moving."

This strange beast is now in professional care and Nick thanks all involved in making this safe and effective rescue happen.
This isn't the last we will be hearing from Nick's slithering adventures, but hopefully next time we won't be seeing double.
